Friday Fight Facts: Happy hour MMA

WANG SAI KUNLUN MMA CHINA

China has two fights this Thursday night, so Friday Fight Facts starts happy hour on Thursday this week. Enjoy.

Kunlun Fight MMA 10

On Thursday 6 April Kunlun is back in action with a full MMA card headlined by long time veteran Wang Sai versus consummate underdog James Kouame. For the prospect watch, check out the match between hardworking Jinensibieke Asikerbai and knockout phenom Tang Kai. A very interesting bout sees one of China’s best featherweights Song Yadong face the dangerous Edgar Skrivers. Also to look out for on the card are up and coming female flyweight Lin Heqin and 7-1 Nuertiebieke Musu.

This event will likely be live streamed… somewhere.

CKF

Tonight Will Chope steps foot in the CKF ring. That’s pretty much all we know about the card. CKF does two different events, one where foreign fighters are invited, and the other is a tournament format for Chinese fighters. Most are taped in a studio and delay broadcast on CCTV in program format. SO, follow Will on his social media for a sneak peak.

Chin Woo Men

The indomitable Shunichi Shimizu is back in China and faces untested Zhang Nan-Yan at the top of Chin Woo Men’s tonight (7 April) in Guangzhou. At the bottom, well-known Wulijiburen has been back and forth his last few fights, so this match versus Rong Zhu – who has only faced foreign opponents, should be pivotal. Also notable on the card are Li Jingliang’s training partner Liu Lianjie, Carlos Prates of Brazil, and undefeated Yi Ja for Enbo Gedou, a Chinese team cranking out MMA fighters recently.

TFC Jiu Jitsu Mall League 23

Top FC hosts its amateur series on Saturday with 11 amateur fights in Paju, Korea.

Road FC Central League 35

Also in Korea on Saturday, Road FC’s Central League 35 will be in Ilsan with 25 amateur matches. At the top of the card, Min Kyung-Min returns to take on pro debutant Shin Dong-Guk.

Singapore FC 5

Singapore FC 5 puts on a mixed card this Saturday (8 April) with four MMA fights promising to showcase some burgeoning talent from the city-state and Malaysia. In a flyweight show-stopper, veteran of three MIMMA seasons and title challenger Eddey Kalai faces the powerful, well-rounded Garie Tang of Singapore. The grinder Rahul Raju steps up to welterweight versus Adeq Ali. Also, TUF China vet Allen Chong is back in action against Filipino Jhunior Diapolet.

UFC 210

On Sunday morning, Filipino fight fans will be up early and tuned into the first fight of UFC 210. Another athlete from the Philippines, former PXC flyweight champ Jenel Lausa has his second appearance in the big leagues. After decisioning China’s Yao Zhikhui at UFC FN 101, Lausa faces a massive step up in opponents: the former WSOF champ Magomed Bibulatov. So it’s champ versus champ as things heat up in the UFC flyweight division. Watch on your local listings, FightPass online for early prelims or check the UFC page.

DEEP Nagoya Impact

Sunday gets started in Japan with DEEP’s next Nagoya Impact card. The first Deep strawweight champion Sato Kanta will take on the tough Nakanishi Tetsuo in a non-title match. Deep Future King 2016 flyweight winner Nakamori Yuto welcomes Pancraseist Wada Noriyoshi to his hometown as the definite favorite. This might be uploaded to Deep’s PPV channel later.

Shooto Force 7

Also in Japan on Sunday, go west to Shooto Force 7 for three amateur and seven pro bouts, topped by Fukuda Ryuya trying to change his luck by dropping to bantamweight and facing late fill in pro debutant Park Min-Je.
