IMMAF announces broadcast deal with Kombat Sport

As the first of what will hopefully be many broadcast deals, the International MMA Federation has announced the Kombat Sport will be broadcasting highlights from the first World Championships.

The event will be broken into two 2-hour shows and will air in Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Malaysia is the only team competing from Southeast Asia in the organization’s first event.

Kombat Sport to Broadcast Highlights of First IMMAF World Championships

July 2, 2014 – Las Vegas, NV – The International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) has secured a deal with Kombat Sport in Europe and sub-Saharan Africa to broadcast highlights of its first-ever Mixed Martial Arts World Championships, which conclude on Saturday, July 5 at the UFC Fan Expo inside the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. Kombat channel will broadcast two shows, both two hours in duration, produced by Giant TV, producers of the British MMA event, BAMMA.

The inaugural IMMAF World Championships began in Las Vegas this week, with 140 amateur fighters representing over 25 countries. IMMAF was founded in Sweden in 2012 to further the development and recognition of the sport of mixed martial arts, enabling international competition through the organization of national MMA federations around the world. Earlier this year, IMMAF appointed sports marketing agency Broadreach Media in a three-year, exclusive deal to market IMMAF’s media rights internationally.

Launched in October 2012 in Luxembourg, where it is based, Kombat Sport is Europe’s premier 24/7 combat sports channel. Kombat Sports broadcasts over 24 combat sport disciplines including MMA, kickboxing, boxing, muaythaï, taekwondo, karate, Jiu-Jitsu and is available via CanalSat, Numericable and other platforms in France, Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Portugal, Israel and sub-Saharan Africa.
