UFC Japan is reporting that verbal agreements have been reached between KID Yamamoto and Roman Salazar to meet at UFC 184 on February 28, 2014 in Los Angeles, California.

Norifumi Yamamoto was briefly linked to a fight with Urijah Faber for the UFC’s most recent return to Japan. Instead, he opened up a curry restaurant and continued on teaching at his gym, Yamamoto Sports Academy.

KID’s time in K-1 and Hero’s launched him into the international spotlight. The stand out wrestler and icon of swagger had mixed results in DREAM and through his career in the UFC, where he has lost his last three fights. After three years away, finally he will be heading back to the Octagon and will face Roman Salazar, a 0-1 UFC vet. Salazar was the twice-defending Bantamweight Champion of WFF.

UFC 184 will be headlined by two massive matches, the Middleweight Championship defense by Chris Weidman against Vitor Belfort and Ronda Rousey’s Bantamweight title defense against Cat Zingano.
