One Championship: Pride of Lions went down on Friday the 13th of November 2015 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore. Strawweight kingpin Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke was able to get the UD against a game Yago Bryan, Angela Lee pulled off a rare submission, and Kotetsu Boku stopped Major Overall’s hype train.

This card was originally set to be headlined by a rematch for the welterweight strap between champion Ben Askren and Luis Santos. However, at the weigh-ins the challenger came in 2 pounds (172lbs) over the weight limit (170lbs). It was up to the American to decide what came next and therefore stipulated that he would fight “Sapo” at 190lbs. The Brazilian refused to accept the offer which led to the cancellation of the much anticipated fight that would of been viewed by a billion people according to ONE CEO Victor Cui on his facebook page.

Similarly, the co-main event of the evening was marred with the same issue. The challenger Yago Bryan missed weight by 1.5 pounds (116.5lbs) and lost his chance at gold against strawweight champion Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke. Instead of having a title fight, it was switched to a catchweight Super Fight at 52.9kg.

After all this drama, the main card was finalized with Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke and Yago Bryan moving up to take headlining duties.

With all that, people would of expected this card to disappoint without the huge main event that was formerly announced but it was action-packed. Seven of the the eight main card fights were finishes and out of those six were TKO/KOs. Also, five of the TKO/KOs were in the first round.

Despite all the knockouts, the standout performance of the night would probably go to the teenage prospect Angela Lee. She pulled off a twister, one of the rarest submissions in MMA, to get the victory over a spirited Natalie Hills. This was the first time ever someone has executed that spine yanking move in the ONE Championship cage. She seems to have a bright future and is leading the way for young females in Asia to enter mixed martial arts.

Listed below are the results of the main card.
