PRO Fighting 8 was held at the Luxy in Taipei, Taiwan on August 4, 2013. A mix of international opponents delivered a mix of results to a standing room only crowd.
It was a disappointing weekend for Korea, as swift upon the heels of a sorrowful Korean Zombie Championship freak injury and loss at UFC 162, five out of six Koreans fell to their opponents at PRO FC 8. MMA Story’s Jeong Hoon Kim was the sole flag bearer to pull out a win by Unanimous Decision in his first professional outing.
Will Chope got his lucky 13th win in a row, all of which happened in under a year and a half. Kaiwhare Kara-France got a win in his sixth fight at just 20 years old, pulling his record even, and proving he’ll be one to watch as he rapidly develops. Matt Te Paa put in his fourth straight win after returning to MMA at the beginning of 2013. Gokhan Turkyilmaz, Zheng Ming Cui and Jeff Huang put their records on the positive sides by taking out their opponents. Tom Ni and Kim racked up wins in their first MMA fights.
