ROAD FC 25 takes place on August 22, 2015 in the promotion’s hometown of Wonju, South Korea.

A total of nine fights make up the massive preliminary card, Young Guns 24. Here are the live results and updates for the event.

YOUNG GUNS 24

9TH -67.5kg CATCHWEIGHT BOUT 5M2R
JUNG DOO-JAE 정두재 vs KIM WON-GI 김원기

Rd 1. Kim comes on strong but Jung drops him with a left hook. Jung then jumps and stomps him in the head, immediately stopping himself after, knowing he broke the rules.

KI WON-BIN 기원빈 vs PARK CHUNG-IL 박충일

Rd 1. We have some kickers in the house. Fast feet and big legs. But Ki’s are bigger and he lands the fist bombs too. Park is quickly knocked down and out of it.

JO YOUNG-JUN 조영준 vs KIM KYEONG-PYO 김경표

Rd 1. Kim right in for the shoot and puts Jo on his back. And again. Kim putting some combos and kicks together, then Jo finds momentum. But Kim gets the throw again. Kim with pounding but somehow Jo shrimps out back to standing. Kim body kicks him.

Rd 2. Kim stalks, Jo counters, Kim lands a low kick then takes a groinshot for a time stop. Kim puts together some good leg kicks, punches then shoots and misses. Kim with another TD and in guard, punds a little, stands out, and Jo gets back to his feet. Now Jo takes a low blow for a time stop.

6TH -57KG FLYWEIGHT BOUT 5M2R
YOO JAE-NAM 유재남 vs KAAN KAZGAN

Rd 1. Kaza=gan lands a low kick, Yu comes in with overhands. Kazgan lands the single leg. Yu stands, but Kazgan has a guillotine. Kazgan holds the head and drops Yu, puts a leg over, abandons and ends with side control to mount and back and attempts a choke. Kazgan has a body lock tight and Yu is forced to defend the choke for a couple of minutes. The ref stands them at ten seconds left, weird.

Rd 2 retirement, the corner throws in the towel because Kazgan cannot continue???

5TH -70KG LIGHTWEIGHT BOUT 5M2R
KIM YI-SAK 김이삭 vs PARK CHAN-SOL 박찬솔

Rd 1. Heavy kickers, Kim gets the first semi knockdown, but Park soon repays him. Big TD by Park, but Kim’s up and punching back. Kim’s down again, but makes it up and Park assaults him with nice kicks, punches and knees, but Kim shrugs them off. Nice uppercut by Park. Kim lands a big straight right.

Rd 2. Clinch game with Park forcing the pressure. Kim breaks out and comes back with punches. Back to cage pressure, and break. Kim starts landing on the button and Park’s nose is bloody, and Park lands knees then wobbles Kim with a right! The fight falls to the canvas, Kim tries to get up, Park jumps on his back, then tries for an arm bar, ref stands. Park mixes up his shots a lot, including a spinning backlist and ends the round with a takedown.

Kim is still a bit too one-dimensional, but tough. Park ate a lot of heavy punches but has a nice repertoire of strikes.

KWAK JONG-HYUN 곽종현 vs JEONG JUN-HOE 정준회

Kwak gets better and better each time out, looking forward to seeing him on a main card soon, especially if he gets a fast finish here.

Rd 1. Kwak shoots, but Jeong trips and Kwak reverses on the way down. Kwak hugs inside guard and works pressure while Jeong tries rubber guard. Kwak looks for an omoplata. Jeong works butterfly guard. Ref stands. Jeong looks for a trip, Kwak tires to jump guard, gets slammed, now Jeong’s gut the position. Kwak tries to turtle and Jeong has his back! Sinks a choke! Kwak rips it off and turns in! Now Kwak is back in guard! Kwak jumps jour of guard and over to mount! Jeong recovers half at the end of the round.

Rd 2. Kwak goes in and tries for a big lift but Jeong defends, holds it against the cage, ref breaks. Mad leather thrown! Jeong clinches to the cage again. Jeong trips, Kwak lands on top again. Ref stands. Now Kwak plays the clinch to the cage game. Ref breaks.Punches to clinch, Jeong can’t get the trip. Tries a hip throw, Kwak again reverses and lands in guard! I think Kwak’s mom is behind me, and he must have little brothers, because they are going batshit crazy.

JEON YOUNG-JUN 전영준 vs CHOI IN-YONG 최인용

Rd 1. Jeon decides he’s a jackhammer and Choi is the subject to be demolished. Punches and knees stagger Choi but he’s still in the game. Jeon leaps on his back and tries for a choke. Choi gets up! Choi look like he’s mounting a comeback, but Jeon gets in a lands 4 or 5 that knocks Choi down and out.

PARK HAE-JIN 박해진 vs CHOI JONG-CHAN 최종찬

Rd 1. The crowd is going nuts for this one! Park gets the takedown and gets side control but then they start scrambling and both guys go for subs to arms and legs and escape, awesome! Choi high kicks, Park ducks under and goes for a single! Park gets it down but Park underhooks and reverses into guard! Great round of grappling.

Rd 2. Park shoots, ends up jumping on the back standing, Choi sticks to the fence, but gets pulled down. Choi manages to grab the neck but Park works out and goes for the choke. Choi reverses into guard again! Park tries gogoplata, Choi escapes, Park grabs his heel and flips him! They manage to stand and Choi gets the trip slam! Park works rubber guard, finally Choi throws some punches down. Ref stands. Park shoots, works for the double, Choi grabs the guillotine and jumps guard.

Park’s BJJ is amazing, and Choi could hang and reverse so it made for a nice contrast of styles. Almost no punches thrown, but incredible action on the ground.

KIM WOO-JAE 김우재 vs LEE WON-JUN 이원준

Rd 1. Kim flicks his jab a bunch, but not much action. He picks a few shots from the outside and a high kick, then goes in to clinch. Lee grabs the clinch and throws double knees twice, pretty but no damage. Kim clinches to the cage. Lee finally uses a combo to set up a takedown, Kim defends. Lee barrels in again, gets tagged. Kim looks quick but he’s not landing anything. Lee ducks and comes in again, both guys land! Lee gets the TD but Kim cakewalks. Lee has a standing back take at the bell.

Rd 2. This round way different, they both engage and throw with abandon. Lee looks for the TD and ends with bak control against the cage. Finally Kim breaks out. Clinch and clinch and clinch, Lee just can’t get the trip he wants. Kim gets a lucky drag down but Lee pops up.

Overall, Kim looked the more active in the first round with maybe a few shots that landed, but Lee was the aggressor with clinch and TD attempts while Kim defended them well.
