UFC Fight Night 79 in Seoul, South Korea is going down today, November 28th, 2015, at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena to a sold out crowd of 15,000. This event is headlined by a welterweight bout between Benson Henderson and Jorge Masvidal and includes other notable fighters such as “Stun Gun” Kim Dong-Hyun and “Sexyama” Choo Sung-Hoon competing on this historic night.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is entering the Korean market for the first time and bringing a four fight main card alongside seven preliminary matches which comprises fighters from China, Mexico, Columbia, USA, Brazil and South Korea.

Round 1 – Masvidal stalking most of the round having Henderson on the fence. Henderson defended against the kick attack of Masvidal but he did land some solid shots to the body. Henderson connected with a right hand that made Masvidal slip. For the rest of the round Masvidal kept landing kicks and Henderson with counters.

Round 2 – Masvidal keeps the trend with kicks and they start to get through. Henderson is working combos and front kicks but not landing much. They go to the ground but it does last long. Henderson tries again for a single-leg but Masivdal tries for a choke. Henderson flips over and reverses positions. He clinches and connects with knee to the head and body.

Round 3 – Masvidal is controlling the cage most of the round. They are working leg kicks and the jab. Midway through the round Henderson grabs for a single-leg. He connects with some up elbows but loses the takedown. They clinch and Masvidal takes the back but Henderson reverses. They stand and exchange but nothing significant.

Round 4 – Henderson starts off the round with counters. He attempts a takedown but stays there to land knees. Moments later he lands a takedown but Masvidal is right up. They clinch some more and exchange on the feet but nobody is dominating.

Round 5 – Flying knee to takedown for Henderson. They clinch from there and Masvidal gots a deep standing guillotine but Henderson slips out. They scramble and clinch for the rest of the round with much damage being done.

Result: Benson Henderson wins via Split Decision (47-48,48-47,49-46)
