Former PXC top 115 lb. contender Kailin Curran takes her talent to the UFC and will make her Octagon debut on October 4, 2014 against Team Alpha Male’s Paige Vanzant at UFC Fight Night – MacDonald vs. Saffiedine.
Curran is known for her unending cardio and ever-improving overall MMA game. She trains at Mark Munoz’ gym Reign MMA in Lake Forest, California. She had a 4-1-1 record as an amateur before deciding to make her pro debut last March 2013 at PXC 36. Curran impressed by showcasing her athleticism and exciting style of fighting as she dominated Kaiyana Rain to get the unanimous decision victory.
The tough Hawaiian made her second PXC appearance against Japan’s Emi Tomimatsu at PXC 38. Curran exhibited another amazing performance as she controlled all three rounds to win by way of a convincing unanimous decision.
In February, Curran welcomed Korean Top Team’s Yoo Jin Jun in the PXC cage as one of the main card fights of PXC 42. Curran outstandingly spoiled the South Korean’s debut by showing her much improved all-around game. The Hawaiian scored another UD win and improved her pro record to 3-0.
Curran now sets her focus on the big leagues as she tries to stay unbeaten against one of Nevada’s best female straweight female fighters in Vanzant. Paige on the other hand is as talented as Curran. She is dangerous most especially on her feet as she hones her skills at the famed Team Alpha Male and has a 3-1 record, including her fabulous first-round RNC win against Courtney Himes at BCP – Cage Wars 15.
Curran and Paige are two exciting prospects who have a bright future ahead of them in the sport. These female fighters aren’t afraid to trade punches at the center of the cage and they look to put on a good show for thousands of fans around the world come fight night.
