On Friday, December 4th, 2015 at the UOG Calvo Fieldhouse in Guam, PXC 50 will have the featherweight and lightweight straps on the line. In the co-main event of the night, the 145lbs king Yusuke Yachi will defend against Alex Volkanovski. Then, the headliners Frank Camacho and Tyrone Jones will collide for the vacant lightweight title.

Pacific X-treme Combat has been putting on exciting fights all year long and this event coming up will be no different. PXC 50 features some of the grittiest fighters from the pacific region such as Mark Abelardo, Ricky Camp, Roman Alvarez and Kaiwhara Kara-France. Also, Tessa Simpson and Gina Iniong will throw down in the atomweight division to represent the ladies on the main card.

Since Chuji Kato, the 155lbs champ, decided to retire and relinquish the title, Frank “The Crank” Camacho (17-3) and Tyrone “Bones” Jones (5-4) will throw hard leather to determine the new king of the division. Both of them picked up impressive victories at PXC 49 back in August to secure their shot at the crown.

After going into semi-retirement following his disappointing submission loss to Yusuke Kasuya at PXC 47, “The Crank” was been reborn and put together back to back first round TKO finishes. He is 5-2 for the promotion with wins over the likes of Keita Nakamura and Ryan Biglar.

Correspondingly, “Bones” comes into this fight with two straight first round finishes. At PXC 49, he slammed his opponent and then commenced to fling down elbows until the referee stepped in to call the fight. Even though he has been trading wins and losses his entire career, the last two showings proved that he belongs in the cage against Camacho.

In the co-main event, PXC featherweight champion Yusuke Yachi (13-4) will be making his first title defense against the vicious Alex Volkanovski (10-1). This matchup was originally slated for PXC 49 but Volkanovski pulled out due to an injury.

Yachi is no stranger to defending his belt since he holds another title in the Shooto organization. The Japanese fighter was able to capture the 145lbs strap back at PXC 47 when he outclassed Kim Jang-Yong eventually finishing him with strikes in the third. The Krazy Bee rep is a grinder and finds ways to dominate the fight leading to unanimous decisions.

Volkanovski has been tearing up the Australian MMA circuit for years and holds a lightweight title for Roshambo MMA and a featherweight belt for Australian FC. He will be going for his third title in two years which is an accomplishment for any fighter no matter what part of the globe he or she hails from. He has a 80 percent finishing rate with most of them by the way of strikes.

Another anticipated clash is between 135ers Mark Abelardo (11-4) and Roman Alvarez (7-0). Both these combatants have a penchant for not letting the judges decide their fate at the end of regulation. They like to throw caution to the wind and go all out to destroy their adversary. This bout has fight of the night written all over it and that is a lot to say for an event that is stacked.

The women will be represented in the atomweight division with Tessa Simpson (3-1) taking on Gina Iniong (3-2). Simpson has not entered a cage since September of 2013 when she pulled off a decision win over Paulina Granados at Legacy FC 23. Iniong, on the other hand, has been fighting for PXC since 2011 and is 2-1 for the promotion. She last fought about a year ago at PXC 46 and lost via submission to Courney Casey-Sanchez.
