ISAIAH ORDIZ (155.5 lbs) VS GLEN RANILLO (155 lbs)
Two of the most talented Filipino fighters sqaure off tonight at PXC 39 as the always exciting Isaiah “Ice” Ordiz battles uber-tough Glen Ranillo. Ordiz is eager to win this fight as he is coming off a very disappointing loss at the hands of the current PXC Lightweight Champion Harris Sarmiento at PXC 35, while Glen Ranillo aims for his second straight win when he lock horns against the San Pedro, Laguna native Ordiz.
KYLE REYES (145 lbs) VS ROLANDO GABRIEL DY (144 lbs)
Kyle Reyes versus Rolando Gabriel Dy is one of the most anticipated match ups in the evening as two massive featherweight fighters will try to rip each other’s heads off when they meet inside the “terror dome”. During yesterday’s weigh ins, these two warriors showed the media and fans that they are all up for business and they don’t want to be friends with each other. The two fighters had an intense staredown after tipping the scale. This is a fight you don’t want to miss! Someone’s going to sleep!
ERNESTO MONTILLA JR (126 lbs) VS ROLDON SANGCHA’AN (126 lbs)
After dismantling Jerome Wanawan at PXC 37 in May, Ernesto Montilla Jr. intends to slay another Team Lakay fighter as he welcomes the very talented up and coming fighter from the highlands in Roldan “The Executioner” Sangcha-an in the PXC. Sancha-an is known for his superb endurance as well as his striking abilities, but Montilla and his camp are confident that they’ve got all the tools to beat him. Montilla is on a two-fight winning streak and plans to be the first guy to beat the undefeated Sangcha-an. Don’t blink on this one because this two micro-freaks will surely bring their “A” games and will entertain thousands of fight fans around the world.
JESSIE RAFOLS (135 lbs) VS LOUIS SMOLKA (135 lbs)
Another undefeated record will be in jeopardy tonight as Louis Smolka looks to stay unbeated as he faces his toughest opponent to date in Jessie Rafols. Both guys are known for their almost impeccable jiu-jitsu and always improving striking game. Smolka proved that he is one of the toughest fighters in the PXC when he defeated Alvin Cacdac at PXC 35 in an exciting and bloody way. Rafols on the other hand, is no stranger to many Filipino fight fans as he is the former URCC bantamweight champion who owns notable wins over Erwin Focad, Hideo Morikawa, Andrew Benibe, and Keiff Mangusan. Rafols plan is to win one fight at a time and get that PXC bantamweight title.
JANG YONG KIM (145 lbs) VS MARK STRIEGL (145 lbs)
Tonight’s PXC 39 blockbuster from the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City, Philippines, will showcase World PXC Featherweight Title fight between two of the most promising featherweights in Asia today as the most dominant Filipino MMA fighter today, Mark “Mugen” Striegl, takes on one of South Korea’s toughest featherweights, Jang Yong “The Beast” Kim. Striegl’s ground game is going to be his biggest advantage over Kim, but make no mistake about the South Korean fighter because he has the power as well as the submission game to demolish Striegl and crush his dreams to be in the UFC next year. With the UFC setting up events in Singapore and Phililppines in 2014, there are rumors about Striegl that if he gets the belt tonight, the world’s largest MMA promotion will likely sign him.
