PXC 45 takes place on October 24, 2014 at the University of Guam Field House in Guam featuring a showdown between Rolando Dy and Kyle Aguon for the vacant PXC Bantamweight Title.

Dy will be travelling to Aguon’s home town of Guam to make the biggest fight of his career thus far. This match up is guaranteed to bring fireworks as both fighters are capable of both knocking out or submitting each other.

The event will also showcase surging featherweight fighter Kyle Reyes as he welcomes rising Australian 145 pounder Alex Volkanovski in the PXC. The winner of this fight might get a title shot at Jang Yong Kim’s title.

Additionally, UFC veteran Darren Uyenoyama makes his promotional debut against a remarkable young fighter from Saipan, Shane Alvarez.

Uyenoyama is on a two-fight losing skid entering this fight against Alvarez against two top UFC flyweights in Joseph Benavidez and Alptekin Ozkilic. He aims to end the drought on October 24th when as he faces Alvarez, one of the youngest and most promising flyweights in the PXC.

Alvarez is 10-1 in his pro MMA career and is 3-0 in the PXC. He has incredible boxing and his cardio hits the roof. A win over Uyenoyama will surely get him a step closer into the PXC flyweight title picture.

Also, Former PXC featherweight contender Toby Misech drops down to the bantamweight division and will be facing Trevin Jones.

Misech has been fighting bigger and stronger guys in the 145 pound division and it was his loss against Jang Yong Kim earlier this year for the PXC featherweight title that made him realize that he needs to move to 135 pounds, as he told MMA-in-ASIA in this interview. He plans on staying in this weight division for good and is pumped to face Jones on October 24.

Jones has the perfect game to counter Misech’s powerful striking offense. He is gritty in taking his opponents to the ground, which has been the Misech’s biggest weakness in all of his losses. Jones is definitely aiming to make a statement to the rest of the fighters in his division as he welcomes Misech down into his court.
