Triquest MMA, Hong Kong’s first gym to teach MMA, announced today that they will host a seminar with Bellator Lightweight Champion Eddie Alvarez and Glory Champion Tyrone Spong on Thursday, July 3, 2014.
Alvarez has an MMA record of 25-6 which he started right after graduating high school. He was a wrestler who knew that his destiny was in the cage, and for him it paid off. Alvarez’ skill set will offer Hong Kong-based MMA fighters a little bit of everything. With 14 wins by knock out and 7 by submission, finishing a fight is his specialty.
Spong is also a man who knew his life would lie in the ring. He started his professional kickboxing career at just 18 years old, and from then has won multiple titles, tournaments and accolades. Spong is the runner-up from this year’s Glory Light Heavyweight World Championship Tournament and the winner of the 2013 Glory 95 kg Grand Slam. He started MMA in 2012 and has a record of 2-0.
Both fighters come from the famed Jaco-sponsored Blackzilians Team in Florida, USA.
