Kunlun Fight 12 will take place on October 26, 2014 in Jianshui, Yunnan, China. The traveling Muay Thai promotion has added two MMA fights to the event.
First will be a featherweight bout between stand out Inner Mongolian Wuliji Buren, from Buku Yinghao Boxing Club and Ali El Azabi, fighting out of Phuket Top Team.
Buren has amassed a record of 8-0 (or more) in China, and at just 25 years old, he looks to be a future contender. He’s a wrestler and has proven his sharp takedown defense and gyroscopic top control. If anything, Buren’s striking would be his weakness, but his fast footwork has saved him on many occasions.
Azabi will be making his debut as possibly Libya’s first ever MMA fighter. He is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu purple belt honing his stand up in Thailand with PTT.
Two familiar faces on the Chinese MMA scene will be facing one another at bantamweight as Cui Liucai takes on Alateng Heili.
Cui is notable for picking up a substantial amount of jiujitsu from China Top Team, and was able to train in the US for a brief spate. Cui is now at 8-4-1 in his career and rides back to back losses against his nemesis Lu Zhenhong in RUFF after jumping up from flyweight.
Alateng at just 22 years old is 5-2 in his MMA career. Like his teammate Buren, he’s a strong wrestler, having competed on the National Team and owning National Championships at 61kg to his credit.
