On May 22nd, 2016, TOP FC 11 is going down at Seoul Olympic Hall in Seoul, South Korea. Top Fighting Championship has invited fighters from the Kunlun Fight organization for an event that exudes potential. As part of the main card, powerful finisher Kim Kyu-Sung (6-1 Overall, 4-1 TOP FC) will take on Kunlun Fight Flyweight Champion Zhang Meixuan (12-3 Overall, 0-0 TOP FC) in a catchweight bout.

Kim Kyu-Sung vs Zhang Meixuan

Round 1 – The round was mostly contested on the feet with Zhang flying around with kicks and Kim trying to counter. Midway through Zhang gets a quick takedown but Kim is back up immediately. The biggest shot was by Zhang he landed a clean left counter that staggered Kim. However, Kim shook it off quickly. The round ended with Kim getting a hip toss takedown.

Round 2 – The beginning starts the same as the first. Zhang is using kicks and Kim is boxing. Then, halfway through the round Kim connects with a flying knee to the bread basket. Zhang looked hurt so Kim rushes in and gets taken down. Kim spins and gets into mount and starts to pound on Zhang. He then pulls back and passes the guard to try for an arm triangle but Zhang fights it off well.

Round 3 – The third round has a lot of movement but not much connecting. The biggest moment was when Kim landed a combo on Zhang while he was running backwards and knocked him down. But, Zhang was able to get back up and get out of danger.

Result: Kim Kyu-Sung wins via Unanimous Decision (30-28,30-28,29-28)
