DEEP 67 Impact live-streams on June 22, 2014 with Maeda vs Motoya, Imanari, K-Taro

DEEP 67 Impact: K-Taro, Imanari, Osawa Kenji, Maeda, Motoya
DEEP 67 Impact: K-Taro, Imanari, Osawa Kenji, Maeda, Motoya

DEEP 67 Impact will take place on June 22 in in Tokyo, Japan. The main event will be Yoshiro Maeda versus Yuki Motoya, K-Taro versus Kei Yamamiya rounds out the card.

HEARTS Founder Kenji Osawa will be having his retirement exhibition match and ceremony at this event. Osawa has been a decade in the sport. The Shooto fighter moved on to WEC and the DREAM tournaments, competing against some of the best of his generation. DEEP 67 Impact will be streamed live.

At the top of the card, Yoshiro Maeda will have another chance to pull himself back into winning ways since his last mark in that column two years ago. Versus young gun Yuki Motoya, it might just be an uphill battle. While Maeda was plying his strengths against Bibiano and Mamoru, Motoya was coming into his own again after losing the inaugural Flyweight belt to Tatsumitsu Wada. Motoya put on excellent performances against both King of Pancrase Kiyotaka Shimizu and king of leg locks Masakazu Imanari.

Imanari is back against Haruo Ochi, who has been at the top of the mix against Wada, Shimizu, and Ryuichi Miki. It looks like this fight will take place at bantamweight.

Heavy handed and fast paced Tatsunao Nagakura will take on submission fighter Lee Hyung-Seok. Both fighters have rarely heard the final bell ring, so look for a clash of styles early.

Grappling wizard K-Taro is back to face warhorse Kei Yamamiya. K-Taro’s overseas debut in PXC saw him drop a decision to a maturing Frank Camacho. Kei keeps saying he’ll retire, but takes one more fight. This will be a tough one for him.

DEEP has stated the intention to stream more events live. Hopefully this well be the case for the talent-packed card. We will continue to update.
