IGF has just announced that the original “60 million dollar man”, none other than the Last Emperor Fedor Emelianenko, will be at this year’s “Inoki Bom-ba-ye” New Years’ Eve event. This time, however, he won’t be fighting Satoshi Ishii, he will be watching him. Fedor will be a special guess in the promotion and will participate in signings and launch parties, according to the IGF website.

Headlining the Inoki Bom-Ba-Ye 2013 card will be a Heavyweight Championship match under IGF MMA rules. Current IGF Champion Kazuyuki Fujita will take on Satoshi Ishii. Fuji, a well-known puroresu star and fighter from the glory days of Japanese mega-events, is known for having a head made of cement and a chin of iron. Ishii has dominated in all of his bouts with IGF, and recently defeated Jeff Monson in M-1.

The rest of the card hasn’t been announced. The event will be a mix of MMA and pro wrestling matches.

IGF statement:

また、サイン会、打ち上げパーティー参加も予定しています。
