Pancrase has announced the signing of another international fighter to its roster. JJ Ambrose will be joining the promotion in the lightweight division.
Ambrose is a brown belt in Brazilian jiujitsu who has amassed an MMA record of 22-5-0-2NC. The Bellator and Affliction veteran is well-known to the Asian MMA community, and has competed in Asia region promotions such as PXC and PRO FC. The NAGA champ has spent time all over Southeast Asia and has contributed to the MMA and grappling community here.
Ambrose, a choke master extraordinare, also has power in his fists and will definitely bring that in a drop to the lightweight category. He is currently signed to Resurrection FC in the US which airs on AXS, but his contract is Asia non-exclusive. He is expected to make his debut on May 31, 2015 in the promotion’s home base of Tokyo, Japan.
