Pacific Xtreme Combat will make their first event of this year in their homebase of Guam, USA for PXC 42 set on 28 February 2014 at UOG Fieldhouse. Frank Camacho versus Keita Nakamura has been added to the event.
PXC 42’s main event is a Featherweight Title fight between the current 145 lbs. king Kim Jang Yong and Hawaii’s top prospect Toby Misech. The show will also feature two of the most athletic and very intimidating lightweights in the PXC today as the knockout artist from Guam Frank “The Crank” Camacho welcomes Japanese lightweight phenom Keita “K-Taro” Nakamura into the organization.
Camacho is a very promising fighter from Guam who is known for his terrifying knockout power and impeccable timing. The 24-year-old Guamanian made his long-awaited PXC return last year against Koshi Matsumoto, since scoring a Split Decision victory over Ryan Bigler at PXC 13 in November of 2007. Camacho started slow in his fight against Matsumoto but as the fight went the distance, Camacho bit by bit got his rhythm back and delivered a third-round knock out to the highly-talented Japanese warrior.
On the other hand, Keita Nakamura at the age of 29, has already achieved so much in his MMA career. Nakamura is a UFC veteran and Shooto Pacific Rim Middleweight Champion. “K-Taro” was also the Sengoku Welterweight Grand Prix Tournament winner. Nakamura is arguably the most experienced lightweights in the PXC roster today since the former champion Harris Sarmiento left the organization and vacated his title last month.
This is going to be one of the most anticipated fights of the night as two unpredictable and exciting fighters will try to get themselves closer to the PXC lightweight title picture. PXC 42 will also feature an intriguing featherweight fight between two of the most interesting 145 pounders in PXC today as Kyle Reyes meets Yusuke Yachi.
