“KOREAN ZOMBIE” CHAN SUNG JUNG LEAVES KTT, GOES INDEPENDENT

Premier Korean MMA news source MFight has announced today that the Korean Zombie, Chan Sung Jung, will be leaving his long time camp Korean Top Team and establishing his own gym.  With the marked growth in MMA in Korea and Jung’s own meteoric rise to the top of the 145 pound division in the UFC, it could simply be a natural progression for the fighter.

Jung’s last fight with Dustin Poirier was voted 2012’s Fight of the Year by MMA Fighting and in contention for ight of the Year and Submission of the Year in Fighter’s Only’s World MMA Awards.  Jung later revealed that he fought with a torn rotator cuff that required surgery.  Post-rehabilitation, he expects to be in fine form again in his climb upwards to the Featherweight Championship.

KTT’s roster includes UFC’s former fighter Dongi Yang and newly signed Lim HyunGyu.  Other professional fighters in the camp compete internationally in M-1 and PXC.
