Kim Dae-Ryeong has become the most recent signee to ONE FC, as announced on the fighter’s Facebook page. Kim joins his brother Kim Dae-Hwan, former Bantamweight title challenger, in the promotion.
Kim Dae-Ryeong is the primary coach of Kukje Gym in South Korea, which has been a stellar Muay Thai camp for quite some time, as well as developing MMA fighters. Kim, fighting at welterweight, became Gladiator Champion in 2012. He is undefeated at 5-0 with 4 wins by way of KO.
Kim was reported by Monsterzym to have signed a contract for 27 months at 3 fights per year. The 32-old has not announced the date of his first fight, nor an opponent.
ONE FC Welterweight Champion is world-renowned Olympic wrestler Ben Askren. Also on the welterweight roster are BJJ black belt Adam Kayoom, and former contenders Sambo Champ Bakhtiyar Abbasov, Brock Larson, and former Champion Nobutatsu Suzuki.
ONE FC’s next two events have been announced to be ONE FC 25 on February 6, 2015 in Guangzhou, China and February 14 in Jakarta, Indonesia.
