ROAD FC 25 will take place in the promotion’s hometown of Wonju, South Korea on August 22, 2015. The Bantamweight Champ Lee Yun-Jun will fight the Featherweight Champ Choi Mu-Bae.
Lee Yun-Jun’s recent history has been nothing short of spectacular, culminating in his capture of the title and subsequent defense against Moon Jae-Hoon, which turned out to be the toughest battle of his career. His devastating precision from a full compliment of striking techniques has made him an exciting fighter to watch. Lee’s tactical abilities are quite impressive as well.
Choi Mu-Gyeom is the prodigy of MMA Story’s Cha Jung-Hwan, and up until he claimed the title, people were still saying “Choi who?” He won the title in convincing fashion over long-time wrecker and tournament front runner Kwon Bae-Young in a surprising drubbing. Then Choi defended his belt against Seo Doo-Won, exposing his opponent’s one-dimensional game in the process.
While Choi can enjoy his new-found fame, Lee is still sitting on the king’s thrown and waiting for the call up to his next challenge, the UFC. ROAD FC has let go of champs before when the call came, namely Nam Yui-Chul and Kang Kyung-Ho. Possibly his challenge at featherweight will open more eyes to him.
