South Korea’s newest MMA promotion, TOP FC, has announced their second event will take place on December 8, 2013 at the Gwanjin Athletic Center in Seoul. The second amateur event, TOP FC – Khan, will take place this weekend at Korean Top Team.
Founder Hyung Jin Kwon of KTT has put together the promotion to provide more domestic opportunities for fighters in Korea’s growing MMA market. The amateur league will be a way for newer fighters to gain experience, and the most exciting of them will earn shots to compete on a TOP FC National card, which are events featuring mostly Korean fighters. Largest events will be the TOP FC numbered events.
The TOP FC National event will feature Kim JaeYoung who was the headliner in the first event against UFC vet Dongi Yang. While Kim was KOed by the ripened “Ox”, he still holds a star quality about him as evidenced when he went toe-to-toe with Melvin Manhoef for a full three rounds at ROAD FC 9.
A total of ten fights will make up the card. To date, the following fighters have also been signed to compete: Kim EunSoo, Gu YongNam, Lee MinGu, Nam KiYoung, and Kim JaeYoong.
