UFC in Korea: UFC Strawweight Champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk will be visiting Seoul

UFC Fight Night 79: Henderson vs Masvidal will go down on November 28th, 2015 in Seoul, South Korea. It has been confirmed that the UFC women’s strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk will be making an appearance at the event.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship has been promoting the first event in Korea with local fighters signed to the roster as well as bringing in Mirko “Cro Cop”, Benson Henderson, and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua to promote the event by doing seminars and meet and greets with fans.

Likewise, the women’s 115lbs champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk (11-0) will be attending the event and meeting with fans sometime during the fight week festivities.

On the official UFC facebook page Jedrzejczyk sent a message to fans in Korea “Make sure you watch my fight at UFC 193 and I’m coming to Seoul, Korea. UFC Fight Night.”

The undefeated Jedrzejczyk is coming off a dominant 5-round standup war against Valerie Letourneau which she won via unanimous decision at UFC 193 before a UFC record 56,000 fans at the Etihad Stadium in Melbourne, Australia.

She has defended her title twice since tearing it away from the first ever strawweight champ Carla Esparza at UFC 185. On that night, she earned a performance bonus by knocking out Esparza in the second round on top of becoming the first European woman to obtain UFC gold.

The combination of insane striking ability and fiery personality has caught the eyes of fans from all over the world. It is obvious why the UFC will bring someone like her into promote the company in a new market.
