Ultimate Beatdown 15 takes place on November 15, 2014 in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Six professional bouts make up the main card, white a whopping 16 amateur matches open up Malaysia’s growing MMA community.
Tonight’s main card matches won’t be streamed live, however they will be uploaded to the UB Facebook page here soon after each fight takes place. The show starts at 5pm MST and tickets can still be bought at the door of Plaza Sentosa.
Main Card Professional Bouts
Aden Baron (1-1) and Lito Adiwang (3-1) head up the main event. Baron trained with Phuket Top Team and now teaches at Kuala Lumpur’s Max Combat. Adiwang is also a Malaysian transplant, teaching at MuayFit, having come from a successful career in URCC in the Philippines. Adiwang’s only loss came at the hands of ranker Roy Doliguez. This is a good match up to decide where their careers are heading as they both contribute to Malaysia’s growing MMA community.
Teh Kah Wei (1-2) of Transform Gym will see his first fight in more than two years, following a loss to the warhorse Will Chope. He will look to show off his reinvented game against Sanjivan Padwal of Evolution MMA India who owns two wins in UB already, both by way of KO. It has been difficult for India’s Evolution to get MMA fights, and UB is doing a good job to put the strong reps from that county on the map.
Allen Chong of Alpha MMA will be recognizable internationally as a competitor on UFC’s TUF China, and recognizable throughout Southeast Asia as a grappling madman and finalist from MIMMA Season 1. Taking up the challenge of welcoming him to professional MMA will be Hyper MMA’s Arnel Lomibao, a product of PXC’s amateur expansion in the Philippines.
Julius Lim of Max Combat will make his third trip into the cage against George Mascardo of REPS Fitness. Both will be looking to set their records into the win column.
Keith Alden of Evolve MMA will see his third fight in UB as he puts his unbeaten streak on the line against Team SC’s Mohamad Ashraf Bin Shafi. Shafi has fought twice for Rebel FC, winning once as an amateur and losing his pro debut in a scrappy match with Suman Mokhtarian.
Opening the pro main card will be Dragon Muay Thai’s Nigel Choong versus Azman Azman. While it’s Azman’s pro debut, they both have short records so anything goes.
Siao Kah Bao of Monarchy MMA has two amateur wins to his credit, one in UB and one from another Malaysian promotion, F-3 Championship. He will face Impact MMA’s Henry Yeo who is making his MMA debut.
Muhammad Farid Arif of The Combatives also has two wins on his record, from F-3 Championship 7 and 8, and he will put his undefeated record on the line against Muayfit’s Hui Keng Fai, a Malaysian Invasian Season 2 semifinalist with a record of 2-2.
Evolve MMA’s Asraf Asuir drew on the last UB card, now he’ll face Evolution MMA India’s Krishan Gupta in his awaited MMA debut.
Niker Tan Sian Kai of 3S MMA Gym came in as the underdog but knocked out his opponent in the opening fight for MIMMA Season 2 Contenders. He will face Johor Boxing Gym’s Adli Hafidz who lost in the quarterfinals of MIMMA Season 2, but owned two wins on his way up the ladder.
Evolve MMA’s Shaun Tay will make his debut against Tung Lun Ping from Headhunter Muay Thai who has one amateur win under his belt.
