REBEL FC has announced a second event which will take place on August 1, 2014 in Singapore. A Featherweight Tournament will kick off to include WEC Champ Miguel Torres.

REBEL FC hosted their inaugural event in December of 2013. An amateur card will be the next event planned this coming April 26 in Singapore. Following that, a Featherweight Tournament will kick off in August with a cast of international opponents.

Most notable will be Miguel Torres, former WEC Bantamweight Champion with almost 50 fights to his credit. Following his successes in the WEC, Torres pulled stints in the UFC and WSOF. Recent years were not kind to his career, but he rebounded with a win on a local circuit.

Will Chope, a controversial drop from the UFC on the day of his second fight for an event that transpired five years earlier, will also join the tournament, following his upcoming bout in Taiwan’s PRO FC. ZST’s Yojiro Uchimura, URCC’s Reydon Romero, Eternal’s Michael Tobin, Pat Promrongka and Maurico Dos Santos Jr are the remaining 7 out of 8 fighters announced.

A media tour will take place over May 5 to 9 with an official press conference scheduled for May 8 at 2pm at the Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre.

These world-class athletes will be officially unveiled to the media on 8 May 2014, 2pm at Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre in REBEL FC’s BATTLE ROYALE MEDIA LAUNCH.

Among them is whom many consider the best all-time bantamweight MMA fighter, Miguel Torres, who will be fighting as a featherweight in BATTLE ROYALE, from the United States of America. Also from the States is former UFC fighter, Will Chope. Other big names include Reydon Romero (Philippines), current URCC featherweight champion, Yojiro Uchimura (Japan), former ZST featherweight champion, and up-and-coming Eternal MMA featherweight champion, Michael Tobin (Australia).

The tournament structure for BATTLE ROYALE will begin with the 8 men competing in 4 quarter-final fights.
